Thread: Strange Asteroid Chunks What are they for?

hi, while space mining the other day i can across 3 strange asteroid chunks. I got a system message saying i had found something strange each time and that an item was placed in my inventory.
They look like gold nuggets, one says its is brilliantly coloured and could be used in a recipe of some sort, although i havn't found and shipwright schematics that will take them yet. Any idea what these are used for.
Any help is appreciated.

They're for the new ship-specific texture kits.
Haven't crafted any, myself. Last I heard, they were still buggy; not applying all the time, disappearing, reseting texture back to default etc.

For some reason, whenever I put some on my RoTW/Mining vendor, they get bought within a day.
No idea if it is for decoration (if you drop it, it is huge!), kits or cluelessness

Anyone know how exactly can you get these different types of Chunks from space?
