Thread: Does a shipwright need componants from other trees?

I am currently a master artisan and will be giving that up to free up some points to be a shipwright. I mainly want to reverse engineer and build my own stuff - not much of a business man and I like to be self sufficient.
Just briefly looking at the forum guides it does not seem that you need master artisan stuff - like say a droid engineer does.
Is this correct - or should I make a factory run of some stuff so I will be prepared?

Artisans can make all purpose repair kit for ships... but thats about it as far as I know

While shipwrights do not need anything crafted by other professions, pilots definitely do. Besides All Purpose Repair Kits, pilots also need droids, flight computers, and unprogrammed droid command modules.
