Thread: With regards to the CU picks...

Well before i do a formal introduction, just an issue to discuss.


I was given the task to rapidly pick 5 people to participate in the Combat Upgrade Alpha/Beta test. I have a few in mind. Those who have made some very good contributions here and that I have had experience with in the JTL beta.


Even though there won't be any Shipwright changes in the CU (obviously), I'm still supposed to pick Shipwrights! Basically the qualifications are that this person will devote a significant amount of time and input into it, and that they are "a cut above" your average community member.


With that in mind, I have a spot or two here.


The thought of pouring over applications scares me, plus I'm not sure thats the best way - I think i'd rather see people recommend others. If you feel someone here has been an outsanding individual within this new community, helped you out in some profound way, cares a great deal about this game, and is not prone to emotional outbursts... Please let me know who!


Time to get some sleep, but expect some activity from me tomorrow (today? doh) now that I have my powers /flex.

Second for SSSnuggles, and I'll add Betatoxin and Odan_pazzmarr. Not surprizingly, you can pick them right off the stickies. They all jumped in to provide threads and guides they felt we needed to have ASAP, and I'm always in favor of folks that are inclined to get things done.

Another vote for these three SSSnuggles, Betatoxin, Odan_pazzmarr.Their guides have been extremely useful for me as both SW and Pilot. I regularly tell people to read these guides, and they obviously know the ins and outs of this very new profession.


oh and congrats styx66 on getting the Correspondant position, good luck! I know it will be tough and demanding, but we're all behind you (a long way behind you, just in case :robotvery-happy

WOW ... Thank you veryverymuch for the vote ofconfidence it is Very humbleing and yesI would be very interested.


if you are wondering about qualifications.I am very vocal in the DE forumsalways striveing to makeit the best it can beas many DE's know, and have put forth a few proposals (look in sig)


Ido have a Full cambat toon (BH / SL / Pistol) and lead weekly DWB raids for my guild (UPS of intrepid) so I dohave combat game knowlage.


In JTLbeta I helped with the "resorces spawned here" list as some may recall and tryed to help get the bugs out of DE.

WOW!!!! I am truely honored to see my name in here.....


Thank you for recomending me. i would love the chance to go at the new combat changes and i would give what ever i could to make it what it needs to be.


i currently have a Jedi a Swordsman and a Smuggler, Plus of course my beloved Shipwright.


Please for give me for being absent minded but another person i would recomend(beta testers will know the name hopefully because it slips my mind) is a person who wrote Athree part guide and called us all ShipMonkeys i loved reading what they wrote
