Just a helpfull note.
RE and ION and a Disruptor together when ever you can. You get a Iruptor, or what ever, that is great vs both shield and armor.
If any one else has some helpfull REing Advice postem here

cool, I was wondering if you could mix the different types of weapons like that. I will have to try that. Also it seems blasters normally use a bit less energy and fire more quickly than ion cannons do.

wow - now there's a realization of missed opportunities!
I have been able to craft standard weapons better than any i have ever looted by far, but this certainly is interesting - Now i'll actually keep those looted weapons to whip up one of these new flavor guns...

Actually, if you want to get technical (continuity wise) ion cannons shouldn't be able to do any damage to a ships armor. The whole point of ion cannons is to disable a ship without destroying it. In X-wing alliance, I could shoot at a ship all day with my ion cannons and have it never explode, it would just disable it completely.

I reverse engineered a level two weapon like this last night and placed it in a Z95. This combined with a RE'd capacitor and shields made my little Z95 able to take on tier 3 ships with out much difficulty.

I haven't got lvl 3 RE in weapons yet, but can you RE all 3 types together?
This probably should be a bug though.

Yes you can. However even given the bonus in % by mixing these I have yet to see a weapon that actually had enough damage to make this advantage usefull. On the high end blasters mine are typically 1000 more damage than the looted ones, and on low end damage ones it's obviously a lower difference but still just does not justify the loss in overall damage to the gain in Shield/armor %. It's a nice thought and nice theory but armor means very little on most targets and shields are where the real defense is at.

All it takes is one weapon (dont matter if its a blaster, ion or disruptor)with good damage
My friend has a scorcher that does 300 more damage then my best lvl 7 blaster.
Combine it with some crapy damage ions and disruptors and you got yourself an exelent weapon that is 1) rare and 2) expensive
Sell thise suckers for 10* what you normaly charge for that same level weapon, people will suck them up like water.

I noticed this the other day too.
I think this should be changed. It gets rid of the whole point of having 3 different weapon types.
