It's simple...

If Bush wins tomorrow, we get factories

If Kerry wins tomorrow, we get nothing

btw, I wonder if you can tell who I'm voting for

general factories that have been placed after jtl have shipwrite capability if having the sub components isnt enough for you tough forget factories doing everything for you it kills the fun

swg has lots of content and is a well working money sink you get to grind all day and still have a newbi character no matter how much you play lets all play swg cause a starwars skin is all it takes to make turd look like candy

Fun? Where's the fun in having to handcraft ALL subcomponents for a ship? We're talking reactors, engines, boosters, capacitors, shields, armor, droid interfaces, weapons (dozens of choices), ordinance, countermeasures, launchers for all weapons and ordinance, flight computers.... naaaahhhh, I'll craft what I HAVE to by hand but let the factories make dozens and hundreds of the subcomponents, thankyouverymuch!

But that's just my opinion, and Hey! I could be wrong! -- Dennis Miller

how bout a compromise. Mark I and II can be run in the factory (limit to 50 items), mark 3 and higher have to be hand made.

This helps to get people in space in new ships.

First of all, you CAN factory run subcomponents....you are refering to regular components.

Second, if you try to do it all alone you'll burn out. Either find a few other SWs and form a corp or just do custom orders. You will NEVER be able to stock a vendor properly by yourself. There are just too many options.

I had suggested a long time ago that we should be able to factory run main components in maxes of 5 or 10. Its low enough that you still have to be hands on but allows the small SW to be able to put stuff up for sale and have some kind of stock.

how about NOT.. all the other classes can run everything in a factory. why should ships be different? so you're saying...

let me run weapons that sell for 100 cpu 1000 at a time, but dont let the people who need MILLIONS of materials a day run anything?

does the word DONKEY mean anything to you? c'mon guys give up the factories no restrictions just like everyone else

Actually alot of us multi-master crafters are kind of hoping they'll change the other professions to be like shipwright. Subcomponents would be the only thing craftable.

Oh and that the devs fix the 1000 use schematic bug that's been in since day 1. Yep, schematics are supposed to be limited to 100.

Why is there such an issue against factory runs of these componets? I buy into the reduce the factory runs to 100 of 'FINAL' components for every profession .... AS wont be affected and WS wont be affected (well save for nades, make these an exception /shrug). The only way to keep up with demand is 24x7 crafting for SW and thats insane. There has to be a balance between crafting and other interaction within the game (eg flying, PvE, PvP) for those that do both .. and limited factory runs is the answer to that issue.

If your the type that does it all by hand, and are a FS crafter .. more power to you. But for the rest of us that like to enjoy all aspects of the game -AND- have multi master crafters that didnt get the benifit of 'free unlocks' give us a break. The only way we can even compete is via food/drink suplements which even slows the process down further.

This is a 'Must change and fast' issue .... I made 20 reactors by hand today, which took nearly 3 hours (food/drink/yada yada) only to have them sell out in 30 min .. that is a problem!

I'm an Architect, Artisan, Shipwright. Quasi-retired from the first two now, because AFK Lot Swap crafters have static harvester farms and 10 factories plus storage houses. Still do the first two to help friends, but why bother arguing with the guys who sell everything at .5 cpu.

Weapons, Armor, Chef, et al. three other in-game friends. They still sell stuff, but it's a bigger margin than my previous two.

Fixing bugs should have been a top priority. Even if they don't make every profession like shipwright, and food or grenades I can see factories as they are not anywhere near a durable good, I wish they'd fix the 1000 schematic screwup. Sure, people will scream, just like when they patched the burning harvestor bug.

Guess what? That's the way the cookie crumbles.

As for the drugs: No, I think this would be a good change because it would eliminate alot of afk lot swaps and return some sanity to the market.

Not a FS crafter, not even in the FS system w/ this character.

Incidentally I do enjoy the game, and shipwright more than my previous professions. Why? Because demand will level off.

Oh and if it takes you 3 hours to make reactors, move to a research city. I don't bother with food buffs at all.

I typically sell out in a couple of hours top end, but that doesn't bother me, as it just means more sales OTW. I can't craft 24/7, nobody can, and I'm not going to try to. I will try to service my ship buyers and have fun doing so, but I'm not going to lose sleep over the fact I could only make 5mil in one day versus 10mil.

I'm also perfectly happy to share customers, especially since these people are actually crafting

well im happy with sub components n ammo in factories

Shipwright IS a crafting profession so happy clicking

don't fix what aint broke if we have factories for ALL SW items then all that will happen is the same names(im sure every server has them the bulk boys that spam in corolag 24/7)will just run off thousands ofitems n flood the market thus killing what imho is a great profession
