Ok do I have this right...to RE, lets say TEIR II Weapon.
I will need 2 TEIR II weopons or 2 weapons with RE Level of 2.

Oops I screwed up,
Ok here is the right question.
Do I need 2level 2 components, or do I need 2 components with RE level of 2?

2 components with a RE level of 2. The only such case where the other hasn't been true(where the same level componenets had different RE levels) that i have found is with Droid Interfaces. so it is safe to assume if you have 3 lvl 3 weapons they will RE together but there's still that sliiiiiiiiim chance.

It's really common among Droid Interfaces (Cert Level 3, RE Level 1; Cert Level 5, RE Level 1; Cert Level 7, RE Level 5; Cert Level 10, RE Level 3; etc.).
I've also come across engines with a Cert level 4 and an RE level 2, and reactors with a Cert Level of 4 and an RE level of 5.
But yeah, always go by the RE level.
