Anyone else having this problem? I am a novice shipwright who wants to sit in his YT-1300 and craft ship parts, but when i use my tool it seems like it is not registering the crafting station i have placed there. Is this working normally? I havent tried it in my sorosubb yet.

i had this problem crafting repair tools on a multi player ship, i had to store and re-pull out my droid every time we jumped to a new spot with hyperspace travle, only thing i could think of is the function of your crafting station is where you placed it, so when you move it stays and you move away from it.... since yours is a station and not a droid, you'd have topick upand re drop the station everytime you go someplace new, try that out, sounds like a lot of work but it might solve your problem

I belive that crafting stations and droids with some sort of Area Effect (Medical or crafting) have a area of effect that is refreshed every sedond or so.

When you are flying thru space and doing turns and stuff the AOE is rather far behind you, thus making it not affect you.

I experianced the same thing with tourches, had a long segmented stream of flame zooming around in different directions with movement of the ship.

My understanding is that crafting has not been managed to work in space. From Beta the devs have said that crafting in space is not functional. Has that changed? I dont think so.

you are prolly just running into what they meant by non fuctional. The game doesnt know how to track a crafting station as it is moving.

hehe all my ships have the additonal CiS after the usual name (Crafted in Space)

because of small itemlimit and for master ships the 100k blocks disapearing very fast i just placed a crafting station in my YT and placed in all Ress with stats for crafting ships. Never had problems with that.

But the ship isalways standing still while crafting. the only thing i miss is a window to look out from time to time
