Hey guys I have recently started up my SW, and I am curious what you guys would suggest as a minimum stock pile for rescources. I am gathering steel like crazy and trying to get ore as well. But in order to actually stock a vendor and keep it stocked am I looking at like 30 Million Resources I should keep stocked up ect.

If anyone has a suggestion it would be great.

Where do I start???

I'm not one who wants to sacrifice quality over quantity. I harvest only the best resources and stock my vendor to what I have on hand as well as what sells. I will bite the bullet and buy resources, but that is rare. What you didn't mention is if you're mining or buying resources. If you're mining, grab the best as it comes along and stock what you can. Buy onlythe minimum supplimentary resources you can. If you're buying everything, then you're richer than I amand really don't have to ask the question of what to get, just where... hehe

You are on the right track. Steel is number one mainly because we use it in just about everything and it is difficult to find a REALLY good stock. It seems I'm always sacrificing somewhere when it comes to steel. Ore is big, but don't forget about the specialty resources such as Unstable Organometallic Reactive Gas, High Grade Polymetric Radioactive, and Fermionic Siliclastic Ore. There are a few others, but I tend to use these the most of the specialty resources.

One thing I didn't answer is "how much to stock"? Answer is simple; hold on to it all until something better comes along. I only sell resources when I have a better resource to replace it. Too much is always better than too little. (No, I'm not one of those resource hoards that has 230 static harveys at my disposal. I have my 10 and I do just fine.)

Wow, this is an overwealming question. I feel fortunate because I was able to beta test JTL months before it went live. Over the time period, I literally harvested tens of millions of units of resources on the production server. I started simply by harvesting as much steel, ore, aluminum, inert petrochemical, iron, copper, fiberplast, and the "JTL resources". The "JTL resources" are those resources that were introduced with JTL, which originally only showed up in the schematics for component upgrades. However, I have noticed other professions schematics starting to use them as well.

Yea I was in the beta on the first day. I started gathering resources back then but I left the game for while and let someone have all 20+ million resources I had saved up
