Absolutely, Force Assembly and Force Experimentation branches of Crafting Mastery provide magnificent benefit to any crafters.

Force Assembly increases the chance of success during assembly. While critical failures during assembly were removed from the game, there still remained a chance that assembly could result in less than a great success, in which case you cannot experiment to the full potential of the resources that went into creating the item.

Force Experimentation increases the chance of success during experimentation. Nothing hurts more than dumping thousands of resources into crafting and item, only to experiece a critical failure during experimentation. With Force Experimentation, you can altogether eliminate the possibility of a critical failure during experimentation. In fact, if you earn all four skill boxes in this branch of Crafting Mastery, you will never experience anything less than a great success during experimentation.

But isn't it true that we cannot use SW xp for this?

CAIDOZ: Elder Jedi - CorSec Squadron Ace Pilot

Yes, it is true. SW xp can not be used. I guess SOE figured that since they force use to hand craft most things, a SW would get both trees XP very easily without grinding. You know, sort of like the game should be played? Can't have that. Now can we?

Yes, it is true, but not for the sarcastic reason you state (although I feel your pain). When SOE developed JTL, it was obviously fairly isolated from the ground game. The very fact that your combatant status does not persist across the ground-space boundary is testiment to this. However, slowly there have been some changes to increase the level of integration between the ground and space games. RotW went a long way to thsi end. However, integration with the FS game mechanics has been one of those changes.

I was fortunate, as I am a Master Artisan and a Master Droid Engineer as well. So, I sat down during double XP week and cranked out nearly 7500 Advanced Droid Frame Units to earn Force Assembly IV and Force Experimentation IV. Given the results, I strongly suggest that anyone with the time and resources to grind these skills out do it. In the long run, you waste a lot less resources, reduce your stress and frustration levels, and increase the quality of your product.

Yet they made the SW use the same number of skill points to master as any other elite crafting profession. I would not have a complaint if they made us like the politicians and could use my skill points for something else. A MSW needs Artisan 4044. The last 4 is for surveying and you could eliminate it but it is not a good idea. If you is going to RE he is going to need Merchant 0004. You could get buy with less but since every thing we sell comes in 4 levels, you need a good bit of vendor space . You also need space for 7 level 7 of each of those items you re at level 7.Top this off with some combat skills because you do not want to be a one hit kill, and the fact the MSW takes the same amount of points as any elite crafter, they just stuck it to us. They hardly disconnected the JTL game and the ground game. Basically, we need to use more skill points than most crafting profession on the ground, if not more than at least the same. Does not seem disconnected to me.

I personally hate them for not letting SW's cash in for fs experience there is no excuse, people say cause they could grind it out fast, easy solution give a 35:1 ratio like architect, other's say it would flood the market with chassis. Well that's just BS what's the difference if it flooded with chassis it's flooded with everything else from every other crafting profeesions grinding FS. Personally i am a master merchent, master artisan, master sw. I can't take another profession cause asis it have 3000 items in my stockroom cause i';m maxed on on items. I calulated i have to make 30600 swoop's using approx 24 million resources to grind out my fs and if that doesn't flood the market what does. If you were to harvest all those assuming you have 1 char and1 account and say you have a small house so you have 8 harvesters. It would take 2340 days for me to harvest that much.

And yay i get !5% bonus to exp for sw alotta help that is.
