What is the max mass that a x-wing can get. I was assuming that the max was 100k mass because thats what the faq says, but another poster told a guy that had a 96k mass x-wing to go get a 115+k mass one. I think i got a 96-98k mass one myself, is this amount average or is it low.

100-101k is a reasonable chassis made with reasonable resources.

Higher stats resources may get 1 or 2 more k mass but not much more than that.

Since most chassis are sold at about 3cpu it would be hard for a SW to justify using uber resources for a few hundred, maybe a thousand more mass.

Generally an x-wing with less than 99k mass will have:

1)had an experimental critical fail

2) used poor resources

3) been experimented for hit points in preference to mass

4) been produced by a non-master SW (masters get a fair number of extra experimentation points)

The best I've ever seen is a 102K mass one. It may be possible to get a higher mass with perfect resources, but not by much.

I had a 101k+ mass X-wing. I downgraded to the Y-wing LP so i could have a 172K mass to get the parts to RE my stuff to be able to use my X-wing effectivally. I have a feeling taht i will master before that and will be using those parts for my B-wing and Nova

I've been consistantly averaging around @100.5k to 101kof mass on my X-Wing chassis blueprints.

The fact of the matter is that"Mass" does matter for these type of ships and using less than quality resources diminishes thepilots ability tobalance outtheir ship with the bestpossible combination ofWeaps, Capacitor,Engine, and Shield.

A differenceof 4 or 5k is the differenceIMHO oflosing your chance in using Level8 weaps verses Level 7 weaps.

I don't use a booster, missile launcher, or counter measure in my X-Wing. I re'd a nice Lvl 5 engine with p/r/y in the mid 60's and speed at 82.9. Lvl 1 armor, Lvl 1 reactor w/overdriver. Lvl 1 droid interface with 15.2 speed.

I'm using 3 weaps, Lvl 8, Lvl 7, Lvl 6 and withutilizing Capacitor,Reactor, Engineand Weapons overload 3, think I have a nice little ship with a lot of punch.

Just some thoughtsfrom me.
