Thread: Question about Re-Engineering components

Hi all,
I have a question for you knowledagble shipwrights. I have a Level 10 component with a RE level of 7 and another Level 6 component with an RE level of 8. Will these actually RE at the specified levels (7 and 8 respectively) or is this a bug/typo and they will RE at their stated component level (10 and 6)?
In other words, for example - I collect 9 other Level 10 compnents (all RE 10). Will my Level 10 (RE 7) component work with them as the 10th partto produce one new RE 10 item?

No.
Your level 10, RE level 7 component will RE with 7 other RE level 7 components.

Tomo - that RE guide you have is awesome! I don't see why it hasn't been stickied yet - it was exactly what I was looking for!! The moderators or SW corrospondant should definately sticky that thing!!!

Thanks, glad you found it useful. I just put it together a couple weeks ago, so I'm not sure our correspondent's had a chance to go over it yet. I do hope it finds its way to the top eventually, though; much as I enjoy making clickies, I'm sure the novelty of linking to it will fade at some point.
