Are some of the Firespray disks rarer than others. I have a few extra copies of #4 and I'm missing disk 3 and 8. Does anyone trade them? If so check out my post on the Sunrunner trade forum.

I've never heard mention of any disks being rarer than others... I have a duplicate of #1 but I've never come across #4, so it might just be luck of the draw. (although I don't have 8 either - coincedence?)

I get the feeling some are more rare than others for SOME people, which would be good for trading if it were the case.

I'm having an enormous problem getting disk 6. I have all the rest.

But I swear disk 6 is impossible to find. If anyone has one on Sunrunner please contact me, I just need that to finally make my Firespray.

Is there any more of a chance to RE certain items, or is it all just luck? I haven't found a single one.

I have found disk 3 to be extremely difficult to get, but I suspect there is one rare disk per person.

The first 2 disks I got were #6 and I only have 3 disks out of the 4-500 re's I have done. Let me know in game what you have extra of and we can work out a trade for one of my #6 disks.

atm i have 3 copies of each disk EXCEPT disk 5 which i have 0 so it seems to be luck of the draw as to which disk is hard to get.

This is funny, On gorath it seems that disk 6 is the one everybody gets alot of. I was given 3 by a friend and during the re grind to get my first complete set by my self I got 4 more before getting all the rest. Then again, you probably dont think this is funny at all.

i've completed 2 sets so far and what i have found is that it is completely random. although 5's and 8's seem to be the most common for me. i've RE'd 3 of each myself. and my partner 1 or 2 each i think. the ones we never traded for were the 2's i believe and 1 4. I've yet to RE a 2/4 so i guess that's my rare.

I'm pretty convinced it's all basically random, too, but this is one area I think it might not be. The biggest problem in determining that is the extremely small sample sizes we're working with here--trying to conjure patterns out of 4-16 disks each?--but Petabyte did some utterly remarkable REing in beta, ending up with dozens of disks (I think at least 70, possibly as many as 200, don't quite remember), and his results implied that one disk was rare while one disk was common. Impossible to tell from that whether the disks vary by player, by server, or what (or even if they truly do; 70 disks is really not that large a sample size, and a slight deviation can create the impression of a pattern that isn't reall there!), but I am pretty open to this part of things not being completely random. There seems to be a little more evidentiary support to it than most of the crazy theories around here.
