Thread: Making Capacitors, what the hell?

Can anyone make decent capacitors? I dont know how to make one that i'm happy with. Either the recharge is too low or the overall energy is too low. I can loot capacitors i can only dream of making. Anyone else having this problem ? or am i missing something? How are you making them and what stats are you getting?

I've read they are broken but i thought maybe we just needed some better resources to spawn. On kauri we got some new copper , but it made no difference. Oh well.

With crafted ones, you may as well transfer your resources directly into the garbage. A couple other components have issues compared to loot, but capacitors are the only thing I consider to be flat-out worthless and unsalable.

I do find that for lower tier ships that are only using one blaster/cannon, crafted capacitors work great.

looted Capacitors are twice as good as any crafted ones at the moment would have thought they would fixed this by now but they havnt maybe they'll fix it around the time of the 2nd expansion coming out since there goingto be planningon new players joining

crafted capacitors work fine as long as your running the reactor overload 4 and weapons capacitor overcharge 4 commands.. obviously you would have to be a ace pilot but i made a capacitor that had 35 recharge and 500 capacity.. and with the overcharge it bumped it up to 75 recharge and 1000k capacity wich allows my YT gunners to shoot nonstop eternally... the reason i chose this route was becuase really good caps are rare and expensive.. so you would never want to run a overcharge on it.. but with crafted ones theyre easy to replace and i never thought i would get results like this out of it..

Or you could loot a capacitor with 40 recharge and 1000 energy in 1/2 the time at 1/4 the cost and have it work 2x as well....


Edit - Oh and its 1/4 the weight
