Does your hand hurt from crafting? Are you getting carpal tunnel syndrome from this profession? Since we shipwrights have to hand craft most of our products because we lack factory support, I think the Devs need to modify the crafting process so that when we begin to craft the same item for the second time, the computer would automatically put the resources/parts in that we used previously. This option can enabled/disabled.
Example: If I were to craft a Mark IV engine, I would go through the process normally (ie. put upgrade, if any, and load the necessary resources). Then if I want to craft a second Mark IV engine, the computer would load the stuff I used previously so I don't have to double-click on the same resources again. Something like would save my hand, my mouse, and some time. What do you guys think? Good? Bad? /shrug?
(Don't know if this is the right forum to post this...)

It's a nice idea, but will never happen ... with this, you could macro crafting entirely.

I don't see the difference between this and factory support, as you could easily use a macro to accomplish the same thing.
Concerning the health of your hand, I would seriously look at ergonomic solutions, such different kind of pointers. People with this type of problems have experienced improvement with trackballs and wrist supports (which are specially designed mouse pads with foam supports for their wrists).

We been in this argument many times before. The final conclusion? Leave the factory thing as is. Sub components are able to be factory produced, just not final product.
As for computers and carpal tunnel, well, they go together hand in hand, mind the pun.

Ah yes, I forgot about the macro. I haven't grinded a crafting profession for a while. Bummer. I'll just look for an ergonomic mouse then.

Hey Chickenbone, don't know if this will help..........I try and break crafting up in small blocks.....I put enough resources ineach factory (I use 3 atm) to make, say 10 upgrades (for each factory)......then go fly some missions.........come back, unload the factories, and make only 10 items.........go back and fly a few missions........come back, make 10 items, rinse and repeat..........do this long enough and you have alot of loot to RE, and alot of items made without feeling you sat there and click-click-clicked yourself into a wrist brace. Anyway, just an idea.

Thanks for the suggestion Fishbreath. Sounds like a good plan. I'll try that.
