Thread: On repair kits

Just got two orders for repair kits yesterday, so I figure that maybe I should educate myself about them.

  1. What's a good price? I charged the first guy 5k per because I misread the resource requirements, and now I feel bad. Next guy was short on money so I charged 2.5k each. What's the standard?

  2. What's the conduit repair kit for? It has ~60 charges as opposed to the 8k of charges on the other components, and I don't believe there's a "conduit" component. Is it useful?

  3. How exactly does the charge work? Does 8k of charge mean I can repair 8k hitpoints before it fizzles?

  4. What's the advatage to ground repairs over space repairs? I've think I've heard that ground repairs cause less component decay, is this true?

Thanks.

from my experience, yes. if your engine/reactor/armor/etc. loses 1000 hitpoints and you use the 8k repair kit to fix it, you would have 7k left on it.
