Thread: RE pricing structure

I've been buying loot at 1000 credits per level, and selling my RE parts for cost plus a 25% markup, got to pay for my vendors and time . Anyway While this works good for the low level stuff it becomes cost prohibitive as the level rises. Just surfing my servers trade forum it looks like 50-75K for mark V items is the norm. My current pricing structure breaks down as follows:
Level I – 1250

Level II – 5000

Level III – 11250

Level IV – 20000

Level V – 31250

Level VI – 45000

Level VII – 61250

Level VIII – 80000

Level IX – 101250

Level X – 125000

As you can see, up to about Level III we are pretty good, but who is going to buy an RE level X engine for 125K when a crafted one is averaging like 60K? In my years of mamnaging a retail store we generally did about a 60% markup, so my 25% is way low, but can't even come close to competing. What structure are you guys using if you care to share. Also, in real life we don't buy our products from customers, so we don't have "hey how can you sell the piece I just sold to you for 2000 for 5000?" My biggest problem so far! Do you think it is going to be possible to sell RE parts (with the exception of exectptional parts) for anything near a profit? Maybe I'm just being too generous in my buying and should lower to 500 or even 100 per level, what do you all buy for? Of course we also have the firespray schematic searchers F'n up the market too, buying kruat (sp?) loot for like 6K a level, has anyone proved this stuff gives a better chance of a fragment? I sure haven't seen a patern yet.

I buy parts as follows:

Cert lvl 1-2 at 1k each
Cert levl 3 and up at 7k each.

And I get hundreds of parts a day. Works great, which helps me keep my prices on RE'd parts low. I buy a lot, and sell very well.

The main point is, when you get above Tier 5 all your RE'd parts should be very high quality. I spend quite a bit of time matching up the best stats from different parts to achieve the best possible results. This is particularly relevant for Tier 10. I've not had very much Tier 10 loot to RE & sell on as yet, but the parts I have seen would suggest that a final RE'd component is going to be much better than it's crafted equivalent.

I'm producing a list of the higest values I've seen on loot parts of each level, so I can 'build' the best loot to sell on my vendors.

They are random. I've gotten them from all types of parts and manufacturers.

Getting firespray parts is a bit more random then slicing.

Slicing % depends entirely on luck, nothing helps it (exept slicing level). THE QUALITY OF THE TOOLS DOES NOT MATTER.

In RE it is 100% random, RE level does not even help.

I have REd close to 12,000 components at this point and I can say with certainty that the firespray fragments come from RANDOM parts. There is no pattern. IT IS 100% RANDOM. Part names do not matter. Part levels do not matter. standing near a crafting station does not matter. Doing Karaoke at the same time does not matter.

IT IS 100% RANDOM. The fragments are obtained RANDOMLY as well.

Hope this helps

I may be mistaken here...but I'm pretty sure these people are just plain wrong anyway...I don't think Firespray disks come out of just Kuat REs (but are random instead). In fact, I'm 99.9% sure I did 2 random armor pieces (in a lvl 2 RE) the other day when I got part #7.

Anyone know different? If not...you might want to spread the word so these people stop messing with your given market.
