Is Grinding by making lvl1 ships Better than Grinding making ships with higher levels?

Which One Gives better XP/Resource ratio?

I did grinding ships into dust for some time, then I found an alternative. I forget the exact name but it's advanced chaff. Takes 1000 steel and 250 metal. In practice mode you get around 660 exp. So it's roughly a 2-1 ratio instead of a 3.5 (or 4) to 1 ratio with ships. It may take a few more combines but overall the resource savings are dramitic and you only really have to have 1 resource...steel (although I used steel and copper as that's what I had plenty of so I could save a little steel).

Oh, just fyi don't do the chaff that takes 2000 steel and 500 metal. While it would seem obvious that this would give more exp, it actually gives less (around 400 xp in practice mode).

I did it with the highest level of chasis I could craft in practice mode. You better be ready for this. The amount of resources needed is unlike any other proffession in the game. I thought I had enough resources to get master and craft some ships. After it was over I still spent about 15 million on steel to complete this.

Grind up through the third tree with Z-95s, to IFF Confuser Packs.

1000 Steel, 250 Metal.

Repeat until Master.

Make some money while you grind! The difference between a master with great resources and novice with crappy ones is not that much (maybe 5%!). Especially compaired to the other crafting professions. I'm just working my way through SW crafting what I can and selling them for a reasonable price. Don't way underprice compaired to your local masters, we don't want to kill the market, but say 10-15% less than what they are until you get to master.
