I am just trying to figure out why shipwrights are given the ability to make the ship sub components when the looted parts are always better than what we can make. So therefore the only things our proffesion is useful for making missiles, chaffs and paint kits along with chassis and that is it.
Why bother to mine the special resources for the components when all we will be building is chassis and missiles ?
Might as of made it a master artisan thing rather than a new proffesion and done away with the ship components list.

Because I can make some things better at Master Shipwright than anything I've seen looted, even using reverse engineering. It's just a balance issue for loot vs. crafted that needs to be worked out, and not the end of the world.

Its already balanced I say cause SW's make superior armor and shields, and chasis of course.

you're exagerating.
SW's make armor, shields, reactors, launchers, munitions, blasters, and chassis.
loot is limited to engines, caps, boosters, and droid interfaces (atm).
not that there isn't room for improvment, but it's not nearly as bad as you make it sound, imo.
