Now the TIE-Bomber, that is where the mass is. I sold two with over 188K mass. I have not made many TIE-light blueprints so I can't compare.
Edited cause I spell bad.

The bomber can get to 190k (and maybe a tad over) given good components and experimentation, I believe.
The downside, though, with heavies like that is that they tend to handle like a flying brick. I'm still getting used to my aggressor's handling capabilities and it has a tendancy to not want to turn.

I disagree. I used my TIE-LD through 1-1-1-1 in pilot, until I got to 2-1-1-1 andgot a TIE/IN. The TIE-LD can be a very good ship if you outfit it right. You just have to make sacrifices, and not try to put everything in it.

Sounds about right. The Tie-Light is a grinder that should be dropped the second you get 1xxx in pilot.

The Tie-Light is an annoying ship because of those sacrifices.
Without shields, every little ding goes straight to your amor. Wich means you always have to stop and repair the thing at the station. Wich, in turn, means that the max condition on your armor is constantly dropping.
With the Tie-Regular, I was able to put a cheap shield in there. No more uneccessary repair stops and much better longevity on my armor because of this. Sure armor's not expensive, but avoiding the repairs means that I get that much more time to blow stuff up and have fun.
(Note: eventually I did end up putting shields in my Light, but the lousy speed is what eventually forced me to upgrade... needed a larger ship for the engine)

ROFL. this is pitiful then.
i am 1-1-1-0 pilot and still have the newb ship. being poor bytes.
Don't really need too much to buy a replacement Tie-Light.
They consume 5k resources so are selling for between 25k and 35k credits in general.
I'm charging 5 cpu for my ships on Bloodfin.
The normal Tie takes 3 times the resources (15k) so sell for more.
