Thread: What tool do I use to find radioactives?

For the last week SWGcraft.com says that Eresium is on Lok and Dantooine, but I have tried every survey tool I have and cannot find it listed. Is there some special tool I need for the radioactive 6 and 7's? Any help is appreciated!

Radioactives should show up on the mineral survey tool. Just make sure you scroll down the list, since the rads usually appear in the middle or at the bottom of the list. Hope that helps.

Not all planets will have radioactive in the shift. I've see tatoonie go a month with no radioactive. It is the mineral survey tool.

The survey droid is used to check the names of resources in spawn on another planet without having to visit it. It uses one charge on the droid, and takes one survey tool (you'll want a crate of them if you use the droids). It will then send you an e-mail with the details (no stats) of resources in spawn on the planet you send it to after a period of time.

On TC they are currently not working on some resources, but our resources are a little wacky right now.

Since I've got JTL I've not used one myself, the time it takes to fly to the planet myself and open a survey device outweighs the usefulness

(On the side issue of swgcraft.com - It is only as up to date as the submissions it receives from players - it does not access the server database to locate resources and see if they have despawned. If you join up to the site then you can notify them that the resource is no longer available and give details on the new spawns that have arrived)

NB: Any comments I make on TC code can and often do change
before they reach live and may not reach live at all, please read my
comments with that in mind.

SWGcraft isn't always going to be up-to-date. I use it as a baseline and do my own surveying in addition to find the resources I'm looking for.

Do you really like surveying droids? I find them to take too much time, and the information I receive in return hardly justifies the cost (and I'm a master DE to boot ).

I agree - they aren't useful now and I'm also an MDE! They did have a use before JTL, but since the time it takes to fly to the planet and open a survey device is often quicker than using the droid (and you can then sample and get stats!). If they started giving stats (which we all wanted at the time) then they might have a use (note: might) but without thatthen I prefer to just use my yacht to fly around.
