What I cannot figure out, is whether or not these parts would exceed the capabilities of the reactor's energy. Any idea on whether or not this plan will work?






Suggestions in red based on what it seems your aiming for, off the top of my head... although, I will readily admit I haven't tweaked a A-wing before, but can't be too different from an advanced. Mainly, drop the reactor level. If you still have mass problems, consider dropping one or both weapons to Mark IIIs (Heavy instead of Advanced).

That reactor will be 10k mass and 10k generation. Get a Mark I. A Mark I with limitor, Mass MOE Rate LOE will be about 650 mass 9200 energy. With R03 that should be plenty. Otherwise, a Mark I with overcharger, Mass LOE, Rate MOE will be about 1300 mass and 12.5k+ energy. For an a-wing, that is definately enough.

That frees up some mass for you to work with.

Like the guy above says, you need a Mk1 reactor. Other things to consider are: capacitor - u need a nice looted L2 one...

aye a nice looted lvl 2 capacitor. if your on bloodfin i can get you to around a 37 recharge rate with nice low mass. run weapons capacitor overcharge 3 and your golden.


your weapons... i would go with reverse engineered lvl 6 guns. a good sw will be able to get you under 10k mass each with a 2400 max damage or better, under 2k reactor drain, and around .64 against both shields and armor on each weap. none of this .2 vs / .8 vs it weakens your capabilities. yes you can run 2 weaps one .2 vs shields the other .8 but it doesnt stack up against 2 weaps that are both .64 S and A


maybe go with a reversed lvl 6 engine, it will be around 80 speed but be under 10k massand will have PY and R in the 70s.

or a new lvl 7 tweaked between speed and mass, but it will lack in PY and R. currently most sw's can make lvl 7s 102/3 speed 13k mass 60 or so PY and R.


i make lvl 1 boosters on b-fin that have under 1k mass will hit 30 speed +, any sw should be able to hook you up in this area.

The A-wing only has one gunpoint and one missile point.


I load a crafted advanced blaster with quickshot upgrade and either a mark 3 proton launcher or mark 2 image rec for the missile tube.


I also have a crafted shield with 1900 front and back.


Engine is reverse engineered lvl 6 with PYR 69+


REed boosters.


Prenerf low level DI


2 mark2 armour panels (crafted)


REed lvl 6 capacitor


and an REed lvl 2 reactor at 13000 RO


all in a chassis with chassis 1780 and mass 65471 (most mass is used - about 100 mass left)

My A-wing includes:

--REd L2 reactor: 2K mass, 12,222 power.

--RE L6 engine

--Crafted Mark IV blaster w/ quick shot upgrade.

--REd L6 Capacitor, massing 7K.

--Looted L7 droid int w/ speed 15

--Crafted Mark IV shield, favoring recharge rate.

--RE Nolvadex Hypernova Booster (L4)


If you can, try to fit in some Mark I or II armor as insurance.

I do not understand why people are using L2 REd reactors. A L1 crafted reactor has the same or better generation and weighs >1k less mass.
