Thread: Old Jedi StarFighter

Now with the impending release of RotW and RotS. We are presented with the Eta-2 Jedi Starfighter.....
But what about theOLD JEDI STARFIGHTER!!!
Don't get me wrong, I would also like tohave the Eta-2. But since now we can rule out the possibility that these ships were kept away from the public. I would appreciateit if the Original Jedi Starfighter became available. I love the the design of it. It looks like a mini-Star Destroy and A-Wing combo;while the Eta-2 has thefolding solar panel and theTIE-ish cockpit.
I'd love to see the old Jedi Starfighter, too. TH said back when JTL was in beta that all the artwork and graphics for the Jedi Starfighter was actual done, they just couldn't think of a way to add it to the game at that time. The only real work they'd have to do for adding it would be to design the cockpit artwork and then figure out what stats they want it to have.
P.S. I'm sure someone is going to say something about the hyperdrive rings, yadda, yadda, yadda... Well in the Clone Wars series Anakin has modified his Jedi Starfighter to have built in hyperdrive,so obviously the technology exsists to outfit a Jedi Starfighter with hyperdrive abilities without the need for the external hyperdrive ring.

Then, there would be something rolling in the SW economy and the spacelanes would have a variety of different designs for all of us players to interact with.
Some of the ships I would love to see included are:
Action V and Action VI Bulk Transports, which could be purposed similar to the upcoming Mining ship.
HT-2200 Medium Freighter, that made its debut in one of the old West End Games (WEG) Star Wars Adventure Journals. Features the familiar stylle of cockpit as the YT-1300, which is partly due to being manufactured by the same corporation and same time period as the YT-1300.
Imperial Shuttle and the slightly larger Imperial Transport shuttles.
Gamma-Class Assault Shuttle, from the old WEG Star Wars Imperial Sourcebook.
Just to name a few. There are so many ships that I could sit here all day writing up the ones I would like to see.
At a special ceremony at the Kuat Drive Yards, Kuati Senator Risi Lenoan and Jedi representatives Adi Gallia and Aayla Secura were on hand to officially launch the finished Delta-7 model. Earlier models were field-tested by Jedi Master Adi Gallia.
Though the standard Delta-7 is too small to carry an onboard hyperdrive, and must instead rely on a TransGalMeg Industries booster ring, there does exist a small number of advanced models with an onboard experimental lightspeed engine.
I thought that might be helpful to the "hyperdrive ring" part of the discussion. Not that I would not like to see the rings in the game, but It would be a bit difficult to manage for the pilot if the ring drifted vulnerable after it was ejected. I can just imagine pilots getting stranded in Deep Space by arriving there and having the ring destroyed.

Since the text you quoted mentions some models with Hyperdrive, then the models we would be building would be those particular designs.
