Yes

Exactly that - you have to do the quest yourself, then if you want to have a different pilot faction (say jedi and rebel pilot) then drop and work up the other profession - you need to reach 4xxx to use the ship.

Is there anyway i can stay a Rebel - Neutral RSF pilot and use my Jedi Starfighter i bought? Maybe like drop rebel ... go imp ... do the quest ... get the ship... drop imp and pick up rebel again?

You don't have to change your pilot faction to get the Jedi Fighter, just your ground faction. I was a Rebel Hutt pilot who became an Imperial Hutt pilot and got my jedi fighter. I am a master freelance pilot and it works just fine - do not need imp 4xxx, just an imp with 4xxx

On second thought, isn't Rebel-RSF a problem in general? The RSF is Imperially aligned, and your master mission is to destroy a Rebel corvette. If you intend to become master as a member of the RSF, you will need to drop rebel at some point

And when you have the Jedi fighter you can drop ground imperial faction and become a ground rebel again ?

(edit : ooops, I re-read the original thread and that was the question asked, ooops, so it seems that the answer is yes ?)

Suposubly its Vaders old fighter...

Also you can get it traded from any one who has done the quest.

You could even do a fair traid for the Arc.

Yes.

But JSF mission requires you to shoot down rebel ships.
And as RSF thats not a problem.

You have to have the quest completed so you can trade, but not generate the ship unless you have done it yourself.

Now that I've actually seen the movie, the argument about it being an Imperial Only Quest because it was Anakin's ship just doesn't hold water... because Obi-wan flew one too

It's true that you don't have to change you're Pilot faction if your a Neutral Pilot, but if your a Reb pilot and you change from ground Rebel to Imp, you'll have drop all your boxes from Reb Pilot and grind up Imp pilot. You can't be both a ground Imp and Reb Pilot or vice versa. Plus, part of the quest requires some space battle at some point, I believe.
