Are these stats any good:
Damage: 2.3k-3.9k
Refire: .334
Against Shields/Armor: .520

The only way that crafted guns can begin to compete with REd is through a much better refire. I concentrate on that stat, using quickshot upgrades, and then go for damage or effectiveness.
I crafted a pair of nullbolts last night with 0.26 refire, and I've crafted some before with 0.25.

ok butI generaly have noobs for gunners and they don't hit much at all. I understand the raw numbers but i need each hit to be effective. Now taking that into consideration is DPS always the most effective? Just food for thought.

It's all personal preference. I just find that I (along with all the newb gunners I've had onboard) hit stuff easier with higher refire guns. Gives them some tracers to track the target with. More likely the target will run into a bolt. More likely that more than one will hit if you get a good line.

.256 is best refire i have gotton on nul bolt gun with pretty good max and min and put a lot torwards shield and armour

I've been making .25 refire null bolts, once the speed is maxed, I experiment on shields and armor effectiveness. My minimum is around .56 for each. People who try them love them compared to other weapons.
