1) RE1 items just require the item itself. That's why SWs like them so much - because an RE is an RE, and you get the same chance at a KSE disc drop with an RE1 than you do with an RE10.

2) You don't need the same type of item to RE - if the type and RE levels match up (and the item isn't already REed), it can be mixed.

wait I though you only get firespray discs from REing higher lvl components......Ive been deleting lvl 1's by the truckfull

Nope. You can get KSEs from anything. In fact, RE1s are so plentiful and easy to deal with, that you stand to get MORE discs from RE1s thanks to the ease and number you can get done.

And it's two-fold. Get a bunch of L1s, RE them in front of the chassis dealer, then sell them for the same 1k.

You do, however, need 4 of the level 4 reactors to RE it. As you increase in the level of RE, you need that number of components to do the RE (ie- 4 4's, 6 6's, 10 10's). Also, if you're doing some of the different skins or want a certain type of effect (like red bolts from a blaster), you need to put that item in the component first. The tool will turn out the first component with the boosted stats you desire (name, characteristic, etc).

Hmmm... I got a pretty nice level 10 droid interface last night that had an RE level of 3. So, if my understanding of this process is correct, that should be a pretty desirable loot item right? I mean, it sounds like it can be RE'd with just a few lower level droid interfaces... and potentially inheriting some of the better stats (like mass) from the lower ones... is that correct?

Just make sure you put the lvl 3 in the tool first as if you put in the lvl 10 first, it'll be final lvl 10.
