I am just starting in my piloting profession and am OK with most parts on my ship but have a problem with my Capacitor.
I currently have a lvl2 capacitor with an 833 total with 32 recharge rate. I am now able to use lvl4 and 5 equipment but I am having difficulty finding a good capacitor - well any capacitor at this level. If I do find one it is much lower than the one I have and I seem to see the crafted ones also lower than this.
At lvl 4 and 5 what should the theoretical max and recharge rates be on a well crafted capacitor ? And if they are higher than the one's stated above, where can I buy them ?

Crafted capacitators suck as of now. But will improve shortly. You need some luck to loot a good one.

Looted ones vary but at 4/5 you ought to be able to get close to 1K with a 37-40 recharge. From memory my level 6 is 1200 with a 45 recharge ( RE'd - was 42ish).

I have a looted level 2 with recharge of 38 and a capacity of 900+ but the best level 5 I can make is 34.8.
Have a shipwright make weapons with a speed limiter it does slow weapons a little but cuts the power used by up to 50%.

Dont forget the higher the lvl the more mass but also gives you more armor/ hp. I'm an imp pilot and ties have very small mass. I'm still using a lvl 2 to save on the mass.

Have a shipwright experiment mass it will reduce armor/hp's or decrease speed of weapon's etc but you will be able to get higher level equip into smaller mass.
