I've been looking around for some time, but have had no luck finding what I'm looking for.
Let me explain:
Some of the initial data on ships, masses and experimentation indicated that it would be theoretically possible to experiment the mass of novice ships upwards of 15K (understanding that this is a rounded figure of course.)
That said, I've yet to find a single Scyk (which is specifically what I'm looking for) that exceeds 13K - so I thought I'd go straight to the source.
Is it realistically possible, given current conditions, to craft a novice ship that approaches or exceeds 14K in mass?
Any advice is appreciated.

Mass variance is 5% of the "base" mass, base mass for a novice ship is 12k, variation is 5% of 12k, 600 total, 11,700 minimum mass, 12,300 maximum mass.
At least that is how it's supposed to be.
Base mases are the most common values you see for the ships usually since people tend to use just "whatever" to make chassis, rebel ships are 12k Z, 150k Y, 170k YLP, 100k X 65k A, 250k B, 5m Nova.
So minimums and maximums Should be
Z 11,700/12,300
Y 146,250/153,750
YLP 165,75/174,250
X 97,500/102,500
B 243750/256250
Nova More than you need/still more
at least that is my understanding.

Here's what I use to check things out... not sure if it's been updated for the new masses...

Great to see the spread and comparisons...
