I have a looted capacitor that's been working really well for me. To my shame, I've been looking for 2 more capacitors with the exact same name since I thought all the components had to have the same name to RE them. Since I've had more than a few deaths, the good capacitor is on its last legs (24 left on armor/hitpoints left on it). If I now take 2 more level 3 capacitors and RE them together, will it up the armor/hitpoints to whichever has the most so I can get a lot more life out of it? I think it will but I just want to be sure.

Just FYI, the names don't have to match, just the type (all have to be reactors, or capators, or engines, etc, of the same RE level).

REing will take the optimal stats for the peice. Not positive as haven't REd dying loots, but if you have a peice with 100 hitpoints and one with 20, it should take the 100.

Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former.

Ok, this one surprised me. I was thinking the names have to match aka 3 Kuat Ultimate Capacitors RE lvl 3 to RTE the item. Does this mean I can RE a lvl 3 item with 1 Kuat Ultimate Capacitor and 2 Mon Cal regurgitated Capacitors? (names changed off the top of my head)

That's correct! They only have to be of the same component type, not the exact same name.

Yes, any combination of thee lvl3 capacitors (regardless of name) can be RE'd into a new capacitor.
