Would anyone mind telling me the types of resources and how much of each are needed for the Nova Cruiser and B-Wing, please? It would be much appreciated.

Thanks. ^^

They both need 70K steel, 20K low-grade ore, 10K inert petrochem, 10K aluminum, 10K iron, 10K fiberplast, 10K siliclastic ore, and 10K copper.

For a grand total of 150k of resources!!! Which means if your local shipwright charges a modest 5 cpu for his/her chassis, expect to pay 750k for the chassis.

Which is why I asked. I'm going to collect the resources myself to hopefully bring the price down

Is that both together (all together it'll need 70k steel), or is that for each ship (each ship will need 70k steel)?

It is for each ship. If you want to collect the resources, then you may be interested in knowning more exactly what you need:

  • 60k steel of the same type

  • 10k steel of the same type

  • 10klow-grade oreof the same type

  • 10klow-grade oreof the same type

  • 10kinert petrochemicalof the same type

  • 10kaluminum of the same type

  • 10kiron of the same type

  • 10kfiberplast of the same type

  • 10ksiliclastic oreof the same type

  • 10kcopper of the same type

This is for one master ship.

Ahh, thanks. So for both I'd need...

  • 140k steel
  • 40k low-grade ore
  • 20kinert petrochemical
  • 20kaluminum
  • 20kiron
  • 20kfiberplast
  • 20ksiliclastic
  • 20kcopper

Correct?

Oh, and by the way... I wouldn't mind paying 750k per. That's damn cheap compared to what Shipwrights are charging on Gorath for a B-Wing and Nova Cruiser.
On Gorath, a B-Wing is rouglyoneand-a-halftotwo million credits. A Nova Cruiser is roughly three million credits.

WOW! I knew there was some pricing gouging out there, but WOW!

From day 1 I have charged 5 cpu for my chassis and 30 cpu for components. My prices are competitive with other shipwrights on Bloodfin and my customers seem pleased that they can come back and be assured that they will pay the same price that they saw last week.

I should go to Bloodfin.
Like hell I'm paying a few million credits for a damn chassis, then another who knows how much at the chassis dealer. Not to mention buying equipment which could add up to atleast another 100k. I guess some Shipwrights think some stupid newbies who don't know better will come and buy them because they think the ships are worth it. But I'm not that dumb... I was in BETA, I built a bunch of MP ships... I know that they don't cost three million credits to produce. >_>

Give me a call. I am located on Gorath and am selling master ships for 5 cpu.

I guess, there are cheap shipwrights on all servers. You just need to find them. And in a way, I can only offer such a cheap price, because I am not so well known. Otherwise, i would not be able to provide the resources.

on bria i charge one mill a copy for master level ships. this ensure two things. one im not pestered by people unless they are seriously wanting a ship for their own use and not for a resale. i dont like doing work just to stock someone else's vendor. and it ensures that i dont run out of resources selling crafted items at what i coulda charged by running a fire and forget resource vendor.

i also do not stock a vendor and sell and make stuff only if the customer is present. this also ensures a couple of things: the customer is present so i can tailor the items to fit their needs by asking them key questions and offering them suggestions based on their piloting style. it ensures i am also not running a vendor and stocking it only to have it bought out by some knob stocking his vendor and putting 5k over my prices. it also gives a personal feel to my crafting, i enjoy making custom ships and hearing back from folks that are pleased with their purchases.

i only really cater to the folks working on tier4 and up, people working on tier3 and below i direct to the bazaarr as they invariably will only use my products for a few hours at best before moving on to something else. to me this is a lot of work going to waste when they coulda have spent a lot less money for grind level gear off the bazaar.

i am not in it for the money but the pricing ensures that i am not flooded with requests.

as far as people bringing me their own resources i encourage it and will do any ship combine for a flat fee of 50kif they bring their own resources. 50k also ensures i am not doing work to stock someones vendor and i enforce a strict limit of 2 ships per customer per visit.

i create schematics for a flat fee of 5k if someone brings me resources and i have time to make it. for good customers i do it for free.

i think my pricing is more than fair on shipwright stuff considering that i run only 8 harvestors and do custom work on order.
