Thread: How far in shipwright before I can RE parts?

How far must you go? Do you get better results as you progress?

You can start REing components at Novice. You will notice that each box has it's own set of RE values. For a Novice SW, you can RE any lvl 1 component. Going up the each of the trees will increase your ability to RE the same types of components that you can build in that tree.,

To clarifiy, yes a novice shipwright can reverse engineer a component just as well as a master, provided they have the skill level for that type. EX: level 1 RE loot if you're plain novice. You can't RE any lvl 2 loot at all, until you pick up a box. Each branch has a type of component. If you are say 0001, you can RE lvl 1 anything, and up to lvl 3 shields ( defense). You can do this as well as a master. RE is a no fail combine. However, if someone brings you5 lvl 5 engines, and you aren't 0200, you can't do anything with it.
