Okay, I was wandering what would be a good way to start a shipwright on a server where you have no friends, and get resources. I was thinking maybe if I went up to Master Artisan that i could sell swoops/speeders and make money for resources off of that. Any thoughts?

Just start with selling resources. Selling vehicles will not bring that much money back as with selling the pure resources.
Theby you can deposit the millions of resources you need for master shipwright and grind it in an hour when you want it.
If you want to have fun though, best start with looking for friends

Because you will need a considerable amount of money to start off with, resources are very expensive and you will need a good deal of them on a regular basis, I'm harvesting off of 50 lots and it's still not enough, if you run out of resources you'll have to buy them to keep up with demand, an empty store is a bad way to keep business, I know I wouldn't be comming back. Next thing I would say to do is once you reach Master Shipwright, wear your title with pride, and answer peoples questions. I get more business because of that then anything else I think, with all the shipwrights afk shouting all day, it's nice to have the person you send a tell to actually be there. Not that your not gonna have to do some shouting to get yourself on the map. Just don't do it all the time or people will ignore you, master pilot too, find some people who need help with it and get up a base of friends if your helping them level, it's a good chance they will come to your store for that new gun or next chassi. I would also ask yourself why you want to do it, if it's because you want to be a shipwright and make ships and components, great. But there are better ways to make money, and if that's your only motiviation you might be disappointed, shipwright isn't really something you can just spend a couple hours a week at and make a fortune.
Good Luck,

Mine what you can and craft with it, if you can make money off what you are crafting, use that to buy resources. Since you dont have huge lots of resources stockpiled dont do it by trees, ie get 4000 then 4400. Star off getting all of the tier one boxes then star a vendor with all the stufff you can craft. Low level ordinance sell extroadinarily well on the bazaar. Then just continue grinding it by tier, using what money you make to buy resources you need.

Dont sell vehicles, tryed that once, failed big time.
Sell the general repair packs. They take less resources and you can sell them for 5k+ each.

Very good suggestion, these are another type of thing you get at novice that you can sell on teh bazaar. People love paint and texture kits. 3k for texture and 6k for paint, and youll be sold out often on the bazaar.
