I created a web-based looted ship component tracking and analysis application. You can find it at spaceloot.com.

Site discussion is taking place in this thread on the pilot forums.

Only thing that I could even remotely think of to add is location where the item was looted. Who knows? It may be a factor and tell us where to hunt for the best parts.

I thought about putting in fields for tier and type of target, but ultimately decided against it because I think the degree of accurancy on that sort of thing would be low.

One thing I am planning on adding in relatively short order is a way to clearly identify the items that are reward components, along with information on how the reward is obtained.

Actually I don't think the type or level of loot has anything to do with the level or location of the target. I haven't seen any hard evidence to prove otherwise. I can't say I've seen lvl 10 loot drop off tier 1 or 2 ships but I have seen it from tier 3's. On the flip side I've seen plenty of lvl 1 loot drop from tier 5's.

On the subject of set list/loot sessions:

I have regularly been doing Hidden Dagger missions (I love the variety and don't care for the look of the Black sun Helmet).

I have noticed when I do missions back to back, the loot tends to be very similar to each mission. A slight variance, like the first mission would give out certain types at certain levels in themiddle part and the second mission wouild give that type of loot out almost from the get go. Got me two elite kessel lvl 10s and a couple firestorm 2 lvl 8s that way last night

I did not think much of it till this thread. I will start keeping track from this point on when I do double/triple mishes and post when appropriate.

BTW, the HD mishes are from the neutral tier four corsec (freelance) trainer in Dant MO.

Something I could do is enable a user to create a 'loot session' record. It would summarize the level and type of components gleaned from doing a certain type of spawn or mission.

So say you just entered fifty components. For those components, you could specify what you were killing. It'd have to come from a set list, like 'tier 4 black sun escort mission' or 'endor evil tyrant spawn'. That could provide interesting insight into the loot tables. I'll put it on the to-do list.
