I think the specifics with the FireSpray are mostly unknown by most players at this time. I've got people begging me to make them one. I too am ignorant of the FireSpray situation. Here's a few points of interest:

The FireSpray does not show up in the schematics for a Master Shipwright, so it must be a loot item or schematic. I would also assume there are components for the ship that are loot items.

I'm sure you must be certified to fly the FireSpray. If you're not certified, then it might be wiser to not buy so early in the game.

Considering an AV-21 can still go for 2+ million this long after the Corvette first went live, I would be surprised to see a FireSpray go for less than 20 million. Is it really worth it? For me, the answer is NO. If I'm able to make one, I'll sell it. I'd rather have the cash so I can buy resources....like steel and ore (now going for more than 6 cpu!!!...this, by the way, is why starships are so expensive!).

Perhaps some of you out there who seem to be born with all computer knowledge (that the rest of us "normals" can't seem to find anywhere) can shed some light on the subject of the FireSpray.

I believe I saw information that should clarify your first point -- I'll try to track down where I saw it and reply again here. As for the 2nd point, the certification for the Firespray is in the Master boxes of the three pilot professions and I'm sure the certification for it works just like all the other ship certifications. I also agree, for me I'll be selling them, not using them myself. :-)

Found the information in another forum post:

You need to Reverse Engineer looted components, and you will occasionaly recieve a disk as well as the RE'd component. There are 8 pieces (1/8, 2/8, etc) and when you have all 8, put them into your analysis tool, and they will be combined into a limited use schematic. According to the forum posts, the schematic seems to be good for 3 uses, has a mass around 180k, and hitpoints around 3000.

A good way to find information is the search ability on the forums, you might try that in the future for answers to any questions you may have -- it's usually how I find all my information.

Reverse engineer everything you can get your grubby little paws on. At some poitn you will randomly get a schematic fragment (a different ones) instead of the finished product. Put all 8 in an analyzer tool and out pops a 3-5 use Firespray schematic.

This is the only way to get the schematic

It's any parts from reports I've seen. And any levels (so don't throw out that lvl 1 junk, RE it, then throw it out!)

Hadn't done much RE. I was just going off of my experience in Beta. By the end, I had gotten 5 of them, from just REing Kuat parts. No other part gave me anything.

This COULD have changed, so it's likely you and the reports are correct.
