my two cents: your wasting time doing it that way. shipwright is not like architect who could contract out walls for final production. i mean you can if you really want to but: the amount of resources needed for you to grind me a quick shot upgrade for example, well lets say your gonna be at it for atleast a year. thats a lot of quick shot upgrades to grind for master. on top of that how many masters are gonna have you make that many upgrades for them to make final componants with. then to add as icing on top of that; i predict that in about 2 more weeks the prices are gonna increase for items and there is gonna be fierce competition between shipwrights (the old "well mine has this speed and this max damage which is better then his so buy from me not him") and im not sure what masters at that time are going to want sub componants that are not master shipwright experminented. im sorry to be a bearer of bad news on this but,
if your not in a hurry. open up some of your lots. try to get down to just your house. get 2 gas machines, 2 chem machines and 4 mineral machines. do your best at getting heavies. you might even get away with one gas machine then using 5 min machines or 3 chem. drop these on your basic needed resources to make tier 2 ships. aka iron aluminum steel fiberplast ore and inert. go about your business doing the village, playing or what ever you did before jtl came out in the game. come back every 2 days to the machines (do keep them running around the clock) get the materials out and craft up some tier 2 ships. practice mode, sell them, destroy them give them to friends.... /shrug your preferance there.
keep at it and it will come. i bet that will get you up faster then doing upgrades for a master
