Howdy everyone,

After I found out that repairing my ship even a little bit reduces the chassis by 10%, I managed to find one of these on a vendor in the hopes of recovering some of my lost chassis points. Unfortunately, I can't figure out how to use it.

Things I've tried:

There's no 'Use' on the radial menu

I can't drag and drop onto my ship in the datapad

I can't drag and drop onto a re-deeded ship in my inventory

I've gone to a Starship Terminal, but there is no button to repair my chassis, only the three normal ones for Manage, Launch, and Travel.

I've gone into the Manage screen, but I can only Load and Unload components.. and select Done when I'm finished.

So, is this a bugged item?

Can only Shipwrights repair chassis?

Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong?

if i remember right the repair button for the chassis is in the bottom right hand corner of the manage window ... but it will only appear if there is actual damage to your chassis ... it does NOT repair decay from your ship getting destroyed in space ... but if you get damage and then want to repair it on the ground instead of space station .. or if the nearest space station will only do a 1/2 or 3/4 repair then the manage terminal has the repair buttons if the part does in fact have damage to it.

Ok.. that makes sense on not repairing the decay. And I just died in space (crash to desktop during combat), went to the Manage window and I can now repair my 0/2774 chassis.

you need to go to the starport terminal and select 'manage' to repair. (option on bottom right of screen)

i could be wrong on this..but open up your datapad and 'view components' on your ship...you may have the option there...or i could be wrong..

Ahhh forgot to mention that I tried this.. I'll edit my post above.

I've gone to the manage screen (in fact I'm looking at it right now) and the only buttons I get are 'Done,' 'Load', 'Unload,' and the orange boxes that allow me to select various Engines, Reactors etc.

Hmmm maybe someone can post a screenshot of where the 'Repair' button is?
