I have been Reverse Engineering for the last several days off and on. I haven't found one part of the Firespray schematic after over 500 parts RE'd. I am starting to think I am doing something wrong.

1. Should I be near a Starship Crafting Station when I RE?

2. my sequence of events is:

First, put part(s) into tool

Second, "analyze component"

Third, click "ok" on the stats screen

Fourth, name the new part

This hasn't resulted in any parts of the schematic

3. do the Schematic parts drop into your main inventory? at what point in the process do they drop?

4. What is the longest it would be reasonable to go without a drop?

5. <insert other newbish question here>?

I am a Master Shipwright. I have been REing all levels of equipment.

I just started RE-ing tonight, in hopes of getting some disks....

got 4 in one night....all 5/8?? is this the most common disk, and the others are harder to get??

Remember what you got 6 or 7 off of at all? I've gotten 2 sets of 1-5 already, but no 6 7 or 8...

I have a question..... my alt is 3/3/2/2 Shipwright, and has re'd tons of parts without a schematic piece popping out. Do you have to be master to get the schematics?. or can any lvl SW get them?

I'm still 2/1/1/1 and I've gotten 4 frags now. There isn't any system, it's purely random. I did 200 pieces of loot yestersday, no frag. About the same the day before ( maybe closer to 250), and got 4 frags.

Is it just reverse engineering the Kuat parts that can drop the schematic disks or can they drop from reverse engineering any "make" of items?

As a complete novice, RE'ing one single level 1 component. I received a schematic fragment.

I RE'd a Kuat Component, if that helps any.

Receiving schematics may have something to do with the number of Kuat components used in the RE process. This might be why you are experiencing issues. Try to collect a mass of Kuat components and only RE with a preponderance of those.

For example, if you are RE'ing a Level 3 component, try and have 2 or 3 Kuat pieces in the mix. I don't know if that helps any, but it might increase the chances since the Firespray is a Kuat Drive Yards starship design.

Yes.

And I've re'd alot of loot. NOT ONE of my fragments came from a kuat piece.
