Thread: How well would this RE?

Can't really get a good answer so I decided to come here. I know that the outcome of the RE is based on the other components used, but I'm just wondering, what is the "probable" best it could come out too and if it's really worth RE'ing


Lvl 8 engine

Mass: 34K

Energy Drain: 2100

y: 67.0

p: 67.0

r: 67.0

top speed: 88.5

re lvl: 8 (of course )

That's a Tier 4 Reward engine. Before the Quantum Ion Drive, that was pretty much your base for all good Level 8s. It's top speed will be 92.9.

If you haven't done the Starmap quest, do that. There's a chance you'll get a Quantum Ion Drive with a higher speed. Use that instead. I have a friend who just got one with 99.9 speed and I'm looking forward to REing it for him.

I concur... Almost always will you get an engine with a speed better than that.... Out of the 20 or so starmap quests I have participated in, only about 3 were under 90 speed... Best I've personally seen is 100.5, but I know 103.x exist


Sadly, none of the stats on that engine are "good" anymore, given the QID... PYR you want to aim for about 73 pre RE if you can, tho 71 is ok. Drain somewhere around 1400-1500, mass 22-25k....

Still has the highest armor/hp, with lot of people targeting engines in PvP every point helps.
