Ok Im still trying to figure this whole thing which materials are good for what

ok lets say...we have a mark III capacitor which requires the following:

Mark III Capacitor: 250 Steel, 250 Copper, 250 Inert gas, 250 Low grade ore

now I want to focus on highnumber ofenergy and refresh rate, which material do i focus on for high stats? Thanks in advance

When your crafting thing, look at the bottom right of the crafting window and scroll that down a bit. You'll see green, yellow, red numbers showing up. They change depending on the quality of resource your putting in. You'll be able to see for the most part, how the individual stats relate to the potential outcome of the part. Be choosing your materials carefully it is possibly, on weapons for instance, to get a 28% base result on max dmg, and yet only 14% on the components armor. With the new way materials are working though, I need to get off the boards and get back into the game hehe =)

guess Im a little dense but that kinda made sense but not really. So is there really no specfic type of material thats best on certain expermination?

Yes there is the higher the green bar when your pick resources to use the better. But if you want to know about a resource for 1 item the open your data pad and look at the recipe. Each recipe has a list of resources needed to make item and if you scroll down the list it has info on what attribute effects which area you experiment in.

Go here and look at some of the recipes;

http://www.swgcraft.com/schematics.php?c=B

The area you want to experiment on is the attributes to look for IF the item requires HR, OQ, UT and SR then you open the options menu click on user interface (iirc) and scroll down the the attributes list and mark those four items. Now when you look at a resource it will give you an average of those four attributes the higher the number the better your experimentation will be.

For some items like swoops which only need SR any steel 900+ and any nonferrous of 800+ will get you a 90%+ experimentation.

Has anyone made a good capacitor? I made three level 9's last night with high quality material and the sub-component and I can beat them with level 2 loot.

Player crafted capacitors are suffering from a bit of "underpoweredness" =) This is a known issue that may be resolved soon per TH. Check the news update sticky

As it is right now, looted capacitors are often better than crafted without even being reverse engineered. I would think the Mining Capacitor for the Y8 will need the asteroid resource stats to be fixed before it will be as good as intended. Those resource stats are another known issue that is being looked at.

Thanks for the feedback. While the resolution has not been speedy, I hope it is imminent. I particularly hope that the new elite components are going to be worth the effort. Now I have to check the forum to see what's bugged with space resources ;-)
