Greetings,
Quick question: From what I've seen, the OQ of the asteroid resources is currently either 500 or 1000. Does anyone know whether this rate will change to be in line with how the other resource spawn rates behave? Or will it always be 500 and 1000?

I would hope they would follow the basic rules of all the other resources, but with everything we ahve seen thus far with ROTW and how it relates to crafting, I wouldn't make any bets

You'll also notice that asteroid resources do not have specific names. With the values that are out there now, I would say that their attributes will remain static.
Everything is 1000 or 500 right now. I don't think that it will be changing.

Also seems like they will be always in the same system.
Means Iron in Tatooine, Petrochem in Yavin etc.
The Mining quest sends you to fixed systems to mine fixed resources there, so I guess it stays that way.
And with the missing individual names, I also guess they'll keep their stats forever

if any of you ever played EVE online thers a lot of similarities to location of asteroids and unchanging stats. The only major difference is the introduction of the tractor beam (which is having major issues in a non fighter). In EVE the mining laser just ran till you either filled up your cargo or the asteroid depleted.
