I wasn't able to find an answer to this in the FAQ.
May it is mentioned there. I just couldn't find it.
Somone in the guild asked me if jewlery could have sockets.
So can they?

Jewelry doesn't have sockets. At least the dozens of items I have made never did.

Are you guys finding these SW skill tapes valuable at all? Maybe the weaponsystem ones and the engine for YPR increases (slight increases) but the chassis, no. I just dont know why people are buying them for so much , i value them at 200k a pt and i see them go for a 1mila pt like a WS tape, am i missing something>?

Weapon ones work on: CM Launchers, Missle Launchers, CM & Missle Packs & Blasters
+25 will also ensure noticably more amazing success's & noticably less good/moderate ones.
2extra points = 14% improvement in a stat

I bought a +25 engine tape for 8M, got +20 weapons systems for about 250K/point. Working on chassis right now and I've been getting them for around 200K/point, as they are less useful.. though they give you another point on armor, too. Lets you drop that mass a little. 
Those have mostly been prices set by me. Starsider just doesn't seem to have many wealthy shipwrights at the moment, so I've been able to make offers that I thought were worth it pricewise to me and likely to be seen as worthwhile to the seller. If prices are really high for you right now, it's probably just going to be a reflection of the "new loot" factor, and shipwrights looking to get an early edge.. but as time wears on, I have to think prices will drop. These do have an intrinsic value below what weaponsmith, armorsmith, and maybe chef tapes should be worth, so part of it's going to be having the patience to wait for the market to settle down.
