ok, Im new to space mining to, but i looked up after a customer ordered BARC kits and found i need space resources. You need a mining lazer and a cargohold in your ship, however i am not sure how to aquire them because although i can build them they require space resources, soi can only build the things that i need to get space resources out ofspace resources, which mean i will have to go and buy these resources or items from another person and be charged an ungodly amount of money, of which im not even sure howmany people have this stuff. So, as soon as i get these things working i will tell you more. I admire the idea of trying to bring together the community devs, but christ you have made it hard for a poor artisan such as myself.

You need to be RotW enabled to do space mining. To get your starting mining laser and cargo hold, go to Kashyyyk and talk to Flash in the Great Tree. He's on the second level in the Cantina. You'll do a series of mining related quests for the Corellia Mining Company. If you complete all nine missions you'll also get the deed for the completely worthless Y-8 Mining Ship (it looks cool though). If you are lower than Tier 3 you might have problems with some of the quests. Hope this helps.
