I am gathering components to RE-E a level 8 blaster. I am wondering what the best speed on a LvL 8 weapon anyone has seen. Most everything I have found is right around .4 give or take. I just want to know what is out there.

You'll be stuck around .4 until the RE is done...and the RE will decrease the lowest refire rate by 5%. Personally, I prefer RE'd level 7 blasters. The damage is only around 2700 (instead of 3700) before OL3 running, but the refire on my two are .300 and .310. Did I mention they are much lighter too? Can usually get them to 15k or under for mass.

I was lucky to find a level 8 gun with a 0.388 refire that RE'd down to 0.369 but for the most part 0.398 or .40 is the best you will find.

What's a good refire rate for a level 6? I have all my component ready for a pretty nice re'd job, but the best I can do for RR is .396, I was hoping to find something in the .350 range.

I just agree; if speed is what you want, crafted is your best bet.

I can get crafted as fast as 0.248 fire rate with 3380 dmg, it has not onlygreat dmg/sec but it's funfiring that fast.

If you actually do the math, you will find that refire rate increases the DPS more than spending your experimentation on min/max damage. Also, it is much easier to track a target with a fast gun as opposed to a slow gun. Ask anyone who sits in a gunner seat. This becomes even more important when fighting a JSF in PvP, being that they have a tiny profile. I equip three uberfast guns on my Adv. X-wing. The fast refire combined with a deadly kill box makes it a lethal weapon.

First, spend your experimentation in refire. Once that is capped, pour the rest of it into effectiveness.

Such a noob. If you have a damage of 9K and a refire rate of .550, what good will that firepower be if you can't hit that JSF?

Too bad refire rate is rounded to the nearest hundredth. Those must be stat 1000 resources.

I'm not sure why everyone is saying refire rate is the most important thing for weapons. I agree in an awing or some other ship with low firepower refire would be important, but in my Bwing or Xwing, I can load out so much firepower that anything short of a gunship is destroyed in 1 or 2 short bursts of fire (including tier 5 fighters).

For those circumstances, wouldn't maximizing damage be more important than refire rate?

Turn that around... If I am havinga hard time hitting a JSF firing faster MAY not be waht it takes, i may just need to be able toland one lucky hit to one shot instead of needing to land 2 or 3 from the faster gu.... the thing is that quickshots greatly increase the DPS of crafted guns without chaning their damage per hit, there is no reason NOT to use them with WO3 being bugged and cap overload being so nice since the downside of a quickshot is all but negated with those droid commands.
