Ship Company Themeparks:
-These involve contacting representatives from selected ship companies, like Incom or Kuat, and doing quests for the corporations. These quests are non-ground-combat, since they're geeared for crafters. They involve puzzles, detective work, and space quests (since pilot takes no skill points.)
-Once completed, a set of reward shematics are given. Those who have completed the Incom Themepark can buy Incom schematics with their prestige points, and same for the other companies.
-Open to crafters of all factions.
-Similar Themeparks for other crafting professions.

I very much like this idea. The puzzles and quests can be similar to those implemented by the FS village for FS crafters.

I'll post a revised version in the core systems for other crafters to consider.

Very nice ideas, well thought out. I really like the idea of working for a specific company and then having access to limited use schematics from them.

This could really be expanded to accomodate all crafting proffesions. I love this idea.

I posted an expanded version in the core systems board. Let's keep this thread active.

One day SOE will remember they made these boards for a reason and that was a unlimited free tap of creative minds, of your core audience that have their hands on the product they developed daily and put to use some of these very well thought up ideas for the game.

Just tryin' to make up for my previous /flame-the-devs attitude. I can do more for the community by giving good ideas.

they should also make it possible to get FS without any combat at all. im sure some crafters could care less about killing.

I made that same point a few weeks back in the core systems forums. The reaction I got was split - some people seemed in favor of it while others had the attitude of "Why don't you jsut go combat if you want to be jedi - jedi have high combat skills anyways!" To me, it makes no sense that the only Force Sensitive people in the world are combat oriented. Sure, going through the training to be a jedi requires combat training be done then, but force sensitivity is something you're born with, right? Even if we just look at the movies...Luke wasn't a warrior. He was a farmer! Anakin was a child laborer in a junk shop - I doubt there was much formal combat training done while selling junk for Watto! heh Sorry for the hi-jack, but I just wanted to re-add my 2 cents for this idea of making it possible for non combat characters to become FS without having to ask someone to babysit them through all the combat related portions of the path to force sesnitivity.
