I'm confused about how many points of attachments i need to buy, can some1 help me out a lil?

25 per stat is the max 20 gets you the extra two points

Shipwrights have 3 different Clothing attachments that will help with experimention


Engine Experimenation, Weapon SystemsExperimentation, and Chassis.


They can go up to +25, w/ +20 you'll have 2 extra experimenation points for those items. Some people say the extra +5 seems to help get amazing successes, but the +20 is all you need for extra experimenation points.

haveing the extra +5 does incerase the amazing exp attempes, just like the other 20 does, works just like speed attachments.

What does Weapon Systems Experimentation all apply to? Just guns and missiles, or do counter measures count under there too?

Countermeasures count as weapons.

It's experimented using the Weapon Systems experimentation skill; get's damaged when you use Weapon Overloads; and it's shown in the weapon group screen.
