Thread: KSE disk drops

Do each of the KSE disks coincide with different components?


For example, RE-ing boosters will get you disk 1, Re-ing engines will get you disk 2, etc.

Random my ass...you can stack the deck with quantity.

I made myself a run of 1000 CATs as soon as I hit Novice. I've used five crates thus far, with nine charges per tool. For crates 2-4, I was destroying the tools on the ninth charge, since I'd remembered reading bad juju comes from using a tool on the last charge.

After remedying that by reading my paranoia was unfounded, I'm now back to using all charges.

So even being conservative, and assuming I was a good boy and used every charge from my tools, that'd be 9x25=225 + 9x10 = 90 for 315 (the real number's probably down around 250-275). I've been REing nothing but RE1 parts that myself and a friend of mine loot. I go through probably 50 per night, but that'd be on a GOOD night (25 would probably be average).

So far I've looted:

One Disc 1
Three Disc 2
Three Disc 4
Two Disc 5
Three Disc 6
One Disc 8

Thirteen discs for roughly 275 REs and climbing. I usually get one every other day or so.

The random drops works for your advantage if you RE level 1 parts because the probabilty of getting a part is determined per RE. That means if you RE level 1 parts you do more RE's for the number of parts.

I.E.: 8 level 1 parts = 8 RE's = 8 chances to take a whack at the KSE piniata.
8 level 8 parts = 1 RE = 1 chance to take a whack at the same piniata.

So do help out and clear out some of those level 1 parts off the vendors. The majority of the level 1 loot is not as good as the prototype stuff so you can sell them to the chassis dealer afterward.

Just finished my first schematic today. Five uses.

Working on my second now, already five discs out of eight thanks to prior REing.

I got the same thing, i think on the 8th item i ever RE'd, i was like, **edit** is this? Oooooh it's a schem for the KSE!
