If you've got the resources (and I forget the exact number, but it's like 3.1 million of them) you can master SW very quickly. Just go up the chassis line and you'll speed through it. Can even recoup some of the investment by selling the chassis, though it'll probably have to be for pretty cheap, as the mass will usually be a bit worse than a master would make.

As Tomo already said. Craft Ship chassis blueprint.
But keep just one thing in mind...
You start as novice and you only can craft Tier0 ships. So you will have to craft around 10 to 20 tier0 ships to get 1000.
Here is a list what resources you need for the individual chassis blueprints:
Tier 0
-------
- 2k Steel
- 1k Aluminium
- 1k Low-Grade Ore
- 1k Inert Petrochemical
Tier 1
-------
- 7k Steel
- 4k Low-Grade Ore
- 2k Aluminium
- 2k Inert Petrochemical
Tier 2
------
- 12k Steel
- 6k Low-Grade Ore
- 3k Inert Petrochemical
- 3k Aluminium
- 3k Iron
- 3k Fiberplast
Tier 3
------
- 24k Steel
- 12k Low-Grade Ore
- 6k Inert Petrochemical
- 6k Aluminium
- 6k Iron
- 6k Fiberplast
Tier 4
------
- 32k Steel
- 16k Low-Grade Ore
- 8k Inert Petrochemical
- 8k Aluminium
- 8k Iron
- 8k Fiberplast
It is very easy to get up quickly to master. But it is also very resource consuming. You will craft a lot of chassis, which you will keep on stock.
I crafted almost only chassis, putted them into a bag for future sales. Now I use them to restock my vendor when a specific blueprint got sold. So I only have 1 blueprint of each type in my vendor (each typ includes also each type of the same chassis).
The way, that I only have one blueprint of each type in my chassis, suggest a customer, that my business is very well running. That makes it easier for them to make a buy
cheers

I did it not the fast way. I first learned Defense Systems 4 and build already very good weapons and sold em. Then i learned the Engine Part and last was the Components as caps are not worth to waste your resources. Did not have the resources so i just used em as they came in. The good thing on this way is you learn how to use the upgrades and were to experiment on , then you see you like crafting weapons, build some chassis to level up, build better weapons and so. Was much more fun for me than just master and look at what i can build and go like "?!?"
I really enjoyed it that way and sold many good components long before i got my master. Components give you the same XP per resource, its much more handwork, but you get to know what upgrades are worth using and what not. And if you sell your chassis while you go up to master you can also provide some equipment to your customers.
But thats just me, having fun on a profession before master, and special while going to master always beeing able to build better and better stuff

That might have worked in the early days of JTL, polku, but won't work very well now. The things you can make are noticable worse at your current level. I would suggest going up an entire tree using the chassis grind and then specializing in that line.
