Today I had my favy SW RE me an L7 reactor. Honestly crafted reactors are 99 times out of 100 better mass and generation wise than RE'd, the reason I was trying this RE was because crafted reactors have armor rating generally half that of thier HP rating, where as RE is even. I prefer the bigger armor margine to damage over bigger HP base, so I wanted to try an RE'd reactor. I went and grabbed all my L7 reactors, picked out the best one for AP/HP, which was 498, the best for generation, which was a little over 15k, and the best for mass, which was about 16.1k. I then grabbed 4 more mediocre "filler" reactors, all with stats nowhere near exceptional. The only... odd thing about the bunch was the low mass reactor. It had a generation rate of 0.0. I had kept it as an oddity, and only saw use for it as it had relatively low mass, obviously since it didn't make power! Anyway, my SW takes the parts, and RE's them, I sit there patiently waiting for my 520 AP/HP, 15.5k mass, 15.6k generation reactor, something that most of you could probably make, if not slightly better, except 340 AP/680 HP or so. Then my SW friend said "jeez", which got me curious...

He handed me my reactor and I look at it in the trade window... It has the 520 AP/HP I was expecting, and the 15.5k mass, however the generation rate was 21.6k... Now in order for an L7 reactor to RE to 21.6k, you would have to start with a 20.7k reactor, and I KNOW none of the reactors I put in there were no 20k, most were 12k or lower, some lower than 10k, with the best being the 15k. I'm wondering if the 0.0 on the odd cap was some sort of display error, that it was the source of the... exceptional RE for this reactor.

Has anybody else RE'd some 0.0 generation caps and recieved some wonky results?

There are several C7 reactors I and my m8s have looted the last while with 0.0 or 19,xxx energy output. From what I understand, anything with stat of 0.0 was meant to be exceptional but displays nothing due to a big in the limitations or something... tho I personally think it's a crapshoot...
