I have been searching since 10:30am on Bria for a Shipwright willing to do some RE for me. I am willing to pay, but I CANT FIND ANYONE! Where has everyone gone? Seach, spam, looking at vendor locals....no one is here!

Give Minatorra a /tell.. If I'm online I will do the Re for you, otherwise write me a mail. You also can offer your parts to my vendor, I will Re them than.
You can find the waypoint to my ship in my sig.

cheers

HeHe good luck with that. I'm on kettemoor server and I currently have a vendor set up with some nice RE loot in my shop. When I feel like handling custom orders or RE'ing a specific set of items for people I throw my master tag up and in poor the tells. I try to do this for at least an hour each time I play, and man is the business there. People practically get down and kiss my toes for actually selling real RE loot (not just random stuff that was thrown together cause I had 6 level 6 shields), and making myself available to RE stuff for them (at a charge of course). The simple matter of things is that most shipwrights see loot as the bane of their profession, and just RE enough to get a Firespray schematic or two. They make their millions on the Firespray's and usually never look at a component analysis tool again (except for stuff that goes into their ships).

I make so much money as a pilot that I don't have to, and don't want to, put up with the headaches of leaving the master sw tag up.

I made the money back that I invested in shipwright early on. But I found out that most of my sales (being as reasonable as they were) were mostly going to another shipwright who charged almost double. Which is fine and an acceptable practice as far as I'm concerned. I didn't want to just support them though, so I closed up my vendor shop and put up another, small, house with no advertising and no ad campaign.

Now I have a few people who know me from helping out with their missions and a very few number of people who stumble on my vendor and end up paying around 5k a level for components - in other words nothing more than 60k or so for crafted stuff. They get what they need and they come back as they level. Its gotten so I can actually chart their progress which I find enjoyable.

I don't leave master ships on there because I only charge from 400-500k. I only do them custom made. In fact most of my sales come from people who know exactly what they need - whether its low mass oh high refire rate, etc.

I've started crafting armor for free if they bring me the resources, with a nominal couple k charge for the optional component. Also, I don't craft things unless I have good resources and if I know of a SW who does, I'll send them there until I can make good stuff again.

So, in other words, you won't be able to find me by spamming the sw search. And the ones you will find will most likely be afk spammers in the cities looking for sales. At least thats how it seems to me.

I would love to be able to have good RE equipment. I even set up vendors where people could sell me space loot at 2k/lvl.

The problem? People have been just dumping their crap loot on me rather than selling me anything I can really use. So much for that idea.

About how much does it cost to master SW? 9 mill or so? (just guessing)

Im at a point where i have everything i need in this game (so i dont have much to spend my money on), and the only way to improve is to RE. *rolls eyes*

Sadly we dont lack shipwrights on Gorath.

I see them everywhere. And the prices are horribly low. Theres no real money in shipwright any more.

But I would become a shipwright again since its extremely useful when fitting out your own ship and helping your friends.

Well Diorchas the thing with RE is that to be able to really support an RE loot vendor you really have to get the stuff yourself. Yeah you can set up a vendor and people will certainly offer you many parts, but like you said most of those will be junk parts useful only as fillers, and another down side to this is that it raises the cost of your materials for say a level 10 RE from0 credits to 20k credits. I do have one set up myself however that I pay out 1500 credits per level, as it saves me the time of having to get the crap parts for fillers.
