Thread: Regarding Firespray Parts

Sorry if this has been beaten to death but, I've gotten all my parts from RE'ing irregular ship components. By that I mean the reverse engineering level and component level don't match. It seems to be that, the more of these irregular parts I put into RE'ing something, the better the chance of gettingthe Firespray part. Has anyone else had this happen, or should I lay off the Vasarian Brandy?

Not sure but i'ved only RE'd about 20 of those irregular parts and none of them gave disk.
Also I snuck into your shop and replaced your Brandy withsome engine coolant so that's prolly why your seeing things.

Well all I can say is in two full travel packs of parts i got exactly two firespray parts...I've experimented with more rare parts, but got nothing (didn't do it extensively).

Sometimes the drops vary ive RE 200 parts and got nothing and then a couple days later re 2 lvl2 comp and get 2 discs so I dont know how the drops come and believe it is totally random.

It's a matter of the more you RE the better your chances.
I've tried every superstition there can be.
1. Made sure that eveything I RE'd above L1 had a Kuat component as the first thing put in the CAT.
2. Tried to make sure that Kuat or Sienar components were the first things in every CAT
3. Tried to make as many all Kuat components in the CAT as possible.
Finally I just gave up and went to:
4. Collect between 800-1000 parts to be RE'd, do the whole thing at once in one *huge* RE session, set any Kuat Firespray pieces in a special backpack and then cuss like a drunk sailor because I didn't get more.
4a. Meet up with other Shipwrights in my galaxy to trade duplicates and get a set of 1-8.
By using 4 and 4a I finally collected my first complete set (*tips hat to John'Boy*) and got a sweet 6-use schematic.
