With the flood of folks getting into space, and the flood of loot components that are coming down as a result.

I'm curious what folks are paying for the loot components from the space scavengers?

I know it will vary by server, but was curious what folks across the board were doing.

There is just SO MUCH of it that prices are low.

Yes, but have we learned enough to identify what the awesome loots are compared to the crap loots? And what about the distribution of good loot versus crap? For every 1000 Meatlumps you get a crystal, and a crystal is actually useful, so crystals have value. Whereas a 14-29 damage stone knife is pretty pointlessand is in HUGE supply (thanks SOE, I never realized how many stone knives I missed when I watched the movies :smileywink, therefore has no value. Hopefully, Shipwrights will be more intelligent about this loot and not pay as much per piece as Weaponsmiths do for Krayt (yes, I can increase your damage by 30 and only charge 1 million credits for a gun you will use for 1 month :smileyhappy.

on Bria i will RE all your components for free. i MIGHT pay 500creds for each level 1 part... thats like 20000 creds for a pack with 40 components.

depends on the item. if its a nice item and i have other items to go with it, or the buyer does i have paid up to 50k for them. however 95% of items are crapola and ic an craft much better, still i offer 1k for each item. people need onyl offer them on my vendor. i buy all that are 1k regardless of stats.

Ya stats would make a big difference on what I would pay for looted items. So it would vary a great deal.

I depends on how good it is. Most important is it's efficiency; usefull stat to mass or energy usage ratio.

Also the ones that give a chance of dropping a Firespray schematic section should probably go for more...especially level 1 & 2 that don't require too many parts to RE. That is the Kuat brand I believe.

BTW, I advise anyone buying loot components for REing check that there is still a 'reverse engineering level' in the description. REing removes that statement from the components description so if you're buying one that does not state a reverse engineering level then it already has been and can't be REed again. Note that the reverse engineering level is NOT the usage level (they are often the same but not entirely). The reverse engineering level text appears AFTER the components stats in the description.

any RE component not just kuat ones have a chance of popping out a schematic segment.

I get most of my REable loot from my alt master pilot. But I also have developed a loot criteria list that I send to my guildies and friends that indicates the specific stats I'm looking for. They only have to match one stat...say a level 5 gun with max dmg > 1800 or a level 4 cap with recharge rate > 48 and I will pay them 50% above what the chassis dealer pays. For instance I pay 12k for a level 8 part, 6k for a level 4 part.....etc. So that way I'm not getting lots of just "filler" parts but have a better chance of getting nice REáble parts. If I start getting too many parts based on one criteria I usually determine that I need to adjust that stat differently on the list since it is not as rare as I thought. I have the right to refuse a part even if it meets criteria. In the case of those really rare stat drops the price is negotiable .
